The Mackie MDB-2P Stereo Passive Direct Box is a rugged, reliable solution for connecting dual-mono or stereo instruments directly to microphone preamps in studio, stage, or worship environments. With its 1/4" TS unbalanced inputs, the MDB-2P cleanly converts high-impedance instrument signals into low-impedance, mic-level outputs via balanced XLR 3-pin connectors, ensuring long cable runs without noise or signal loss.
Each channel includes a -15 dB pad, making it ideal for high-output sources like keyboards and media players, preventing distortion while maintaining crystal-clear audio. The MDB-2P also features parallel thru outputs, enabling seamless connection to amplifiers, pedalboards, or monitoring systems.
A built-in ground-lift switch eliminates hum caused by ground loops, and the passive design requires no batteries or external power. Built with Mackie’s signature Built-Like-A-Tank™ steel chassis, the MDB-2P offers dependable performance for touring, recording, and everyday sound reinforcement.
