Product Description
The B&C DE880TN is a premium high-frequency compression driver featuring a 75mm (3-inch) voice coil, powerful neodymium magnet assembly, and titanium diaphragm. Designed for professional sound reinforcement applications, the DE880TN delivers high output, excellent sensitivity, and smooth high-frequency reproduction with controlled distortion.
B&C completely redesigned the diaphragm assembly for this latest-generation driver. The updated design incorporates a bent-edge voice coil former, redesigned dome and surround geometry, and an optimized phase plug. These improvements provide better control of diaphragm displacement and deformation, helping reduce distortion and produce a smoother high-frequency response, particularly above 10kHz.
With a 1.4-inch throat, 8-ohm nominal impedance, 220W continuous power handling, and 108dB sensitivity, the DE880TN is well suited for demanding professional loudspeaker systems, high-output PA cabinets, line array applications, and custom speaker designs.
The neodymium magnet assembly incorporates a shorting copper cap to help improve high-frequency performance and reduce undesirable distortion. The driver features a titanium diaphragm and aluminum voice coil for a combination of high-frequency detail, efficiency, and professional durability.
The DE880TN also has a replacement diaphragm service kit available, making it a practical choice for professional loudspeaker maintenance and repair.
