The Allen & Heath SQ-5 48-Channel Digital Mixer is a powerful and compact professional mixing console powered by the advanced XCVI 96kHz FPGA audio engine. With 48 input channels, 16 onboard microphone preamps, and 17 motorized faders, the SQ-5 offers the control and flexibility needed for complex mixing scenarios while maintaining an intuitive workflow. Its six customizable fader layers allow quick access to channels, mixes, and processing, making it ideal for both experienced engineers and volunteer operators.
The mixer supports up to 12 stereo monitor mixes plus the main LR bus, along with three stereo matrices for advanced routing. Built-in Automatic Mic Mixing (AMM) keeps multiple microphones balanced and feedback under control—perfect for conferences, panel discussions, and houses of worship.
Equipped with eight stereo FX engines and dedicated FX returns, the SQ-5 provides studio-grade effects processing for live productions. The integrated 32x32 USB audio interface and SQ-Drive recording make multitrack recording simple, allowing direct capture to a DAW or USB drive.
Expansion capabilities include SLink connectivity for remote I/O and a 64-channel expansion slot compatible with Dante, Waves, and other network audio formats. Remote mixing is made easy with the SQ MixPad app, while performers can manage their own monitor mixes using the SQ4You mobile app.
